The Homeless Shelter Team functions to facilitate the parishes’ sponsoring Project Home Homeless Shelter for families in April and October.  We work to provide a safe and welcoming environment for the families who are guests during those months.  We work to facilitate the shelter with the daily life of our Parish. 

We are a working Team.  Our work begins about six weeks before the opening of the shelter and ends up two weeks after the shelter closes for the month.  You can join the Team and take on tasks to make the shelter function and either 1) participate in the planning and do tasks or 2) just do behind the scenes tasks.  You may want to talk to a current Team member to get a feel for how we work.
