Mission Statement
MISSION STATEMENT
Saint Peter Claver School is a Catholic elementary school whose purpose and mission is to work with parents and families and reach out to and educate the children of Saint Peter Claver Parish and surrounding community. Students of all races and ethnic backgrounds are welcome.
Grounded in the teachings of Jesus and the fullness of the Catholic tradition, the school draws particular strength from its rootedness in Africa, which teaches resilient faith, self-determination, perseverance, hospitality, participation, respect and everence. As an institution committed to a philosophy of excellence, the school provides the opportunity to achieve a high quality academic education and a solid spiritual, moral, and religious formation.

Saint Peter Claver School is committed to a philosophy of excellence.
The school manifests a respect for individual learners, different learning styles,
and effective educational process and methodologies.
Special attention will be given to both curriculum materials and working experiences reflecting African heritage,
based on the Nguzo Saba Principles.
Teachers strive to correlate principles and value issues with all subject areas.
In supporting and welcoming students from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds, the school reflects both
Catholic social teaching and its emphasis on the universal nature of the Church.
